Newborn Session Sneak Peek!

I recently had the pleasure of photographing this precious baby girl when she was 12 days old. I grew up with her mother, who has always been the most genuinely warm & kind person. We did this shoot at her house in one of the cutest little girl nurseries I've seen! Whitney is a great decorator which provided lots of beautiful backdrops for our shoot. And, check out Big Brother...these kids could seriously be child models. They are just too cute!
Thanks so much for letting me photograph your family! Enjoy this Sneak Peek. I'll have the rest for you very soon!

Hawkins Sneak Peek

i love the contrast of textures in this photo.
isn't that tu-tu great?

S looked so much taller to me this time as he really is getting to be a big boy.
Love those cheeks!

i love shooting into the sun and the ethereal look in this shot. she looks like an angel!

Can hardly believe it was time for the Hawkins family shoot again. I've been taking photos for this sweet family since Miss G was born. These are a few from their birthday/Christmas card session. As always, it's such a treat for me to watch them grow. Her big brother could not have been sweeter watching out for her. He has the most precious demeanor. Enjoy this sneak peek and I'll have the rest for you soon!

Sneak Peek

oh how i love newborn sessions! being able to photograph
a new family is such a privilege. everything is new and fresh and so precious. it seems like just yesterday that i, like allison, had just brought my new baby boy home.
what sweet days.
this little guy was just a dream to photograph. he slept through most of the session and let me move him all over the house and place him wherever i chose. he did peek at me a bit so i could get a few shots of his gorgeous blue eyes. isn't he a doll?
thanks for hiring me, allison! i enjoyed spending time with you and i hope you will love these images. i do! i'll have your proofs ready soon!

Sneak Peek for the Brown's

I first met April 10 years ago (yikes!) one summer when we were in college. She recently moved back to this area and it's been fun to reconnect with her and meet her gorgeous family!
She and her husband have been blessed with 3 little girls.
We recently spent some time in the gardens. We thought we were going to get rained out, but the overcast day provided just right light for us!
I could go on and on about how precious these girls are!"Miss M", the oldest, has such a great imagination which reminded me of my boys and how they play. And, get a load of those curls! People pay big bucks for those!

Two year old "L" was so affectionate and would give me hugs and just crawl up in my lap during the shoot. I loved it!
And the newest addition to the family, sweet little "C", looks just like her Daddy. She has the biggest smile that just lights up her whole face!
Here are some of my early favorites as a sneak peek for Mom.

Thanks, April, for hiring me!

Happy 3rd Birthday !

Captain "A" here just turned 3! I love his large inquisitive blue eyes!
His party was supposed to be at the neighborhood pool, but rains brought by the Hurricane sent the party inside. His mom did a great job pulling the party together inside at the last minute.

He received the cutest mask and cape with his initial on it. The perfect gift for a budding Superhero!

Cousins!

all 4~what beauties!

such wonder

sisterhood~ages 10 and 6
big sister was always there to give a helping hand

what a treat this shoot was for me! my friend rebecca's sister in law and her four daughters were in town visiting and decided to have a cousins photo shoot! so...we (the 4 girls and 2 boys) ran around in the backyard and explored and took some photos. they were all just adorable! the shoot went really well, they were all such great sports. i love big families and it was so interesting to see each of their personalities and how they interacted with each other. how blessed they are to have each other.
here are just a few sneak peaks for their moms. thanks so much for letting me spend some time with you! Rebecca and Mary Katharine, you'll see the rest and the entire group shot, very soon~ it's precious!

Sitting Up

Though I don't want to rush these milestones (because I know just how fast the next one will follow) it does open up more shooting possibilities for photography...
here are a few of my favorites from Mr. M's six (and a half) month 'sitting -up' shoot.

Hawkins Family

i'm a bit behind on this blog. it's been a while since i've posted. too many irons in the fire, i guess! i've been photographing this little girl and her brother since she was brand new. i met her beautiful mom at a christmas show i did a couple of years ago. what a treat it has been to watch them grow. erin has become a sweet friend and i always look forward to our sessions together. these are a couple of my favorites from our time in the gardens. more here.
